onkia Veronika Kilcher

Hi, I am Veronika Kilcher, the artist behind onki_ART. I am a webdesigner and creative soule living near Bern, Switzerland.

I started working with webdesign / internet publishing in 2004. Back then, I learned how to create websites, mainly through self-taught training. Since then, I have worked as a freelancer and create professional websites (www.webdesign-kilcher.ch) for my dear customers.

As a self-employed person and family woman with children, I was increasingly dissatisfied with all conventional calendars and planners in view of the many tasks and appointments that I wanted to keep track of. Either I had too little space if I chose a planner with a weekly schedule, for example, or if I had a calendar with one page per day, pages sometimes remained empty and unused, which I also found unsatisfactory. I was actually looking for inspiration for art journaling and scrapbooking when I stumbled upon the Bullet Journal® by chance on Pinterest and was immediately convinced that this would be the ideal system for me. I collected ideas and could hardly wait to get started with a beautiful notebook. That was at the beginning of 2016 and I'm still as excited as I was on the first day! Finally, a flexible agenda that is completely tailored to my personal wishes and needs; AWESOME!

I soon discovered the large community on social media that freely shares their ideas and supports one another. I also wanted to create profiles on Instagram and Facebook to share my layouts with all the Bullet Journal enthusiasts around the world. I also looked for ways to expand the basic system and developed my own Future Log and Calendex. These are layouts that you can use to plan for the future in the Bullet Journal, just like you would with conventional planners.

Bullet journaling, especially if you don't do it in a minimalist way, is actually a hobby in itself. But when I have time, I also love to do the following activities: photography, painting, drawing, writing, reading, sewing, decorating, raising chickens, ceramics/pottery, yoga and tending to the beautiful garden.

By the way: Sandra Baumann, my host for the workshops asked me a few questions about bullet journaling. If you're interested, you can read the interview here.

In my Bullet Journal® I mainly write, draw and design with the following products:

leuchtturm   staedtler   fabercastell
